It's all good....

Here I sit, alone on a Friday night in January.  The kids are asleep and Jessi is at the Hospital sitting with Dad.  I am enjoying a cold glass of Coke and some Doors tunes...catching up with a couple of my good good friends on Facebook....being reminded ever so gently that it is the simple pleasures in life that get one through the darkest of times.  I am blessed.  Have a good, good night...

The voices in my head!

I've got this song stuck in my head on endless loop.  This has been going on and on for days now, and as I have found over the years, the only thing that can "cure" such a thing is listening to the song...WHICH, oddly enough, is what usually starts the problem in the first place.

I shall not complain much, though, because after all, "....Travelling twice the speed of sound, it's easy to get burned." 

Monday morning epiphany

Awake!  Cease from your slumber
Arise you minions of merciless maddening mayhem
The day is coming.  No, the day is here.
The day is slipping away  Now it is gone.
So much I have learned.  So far I have come.
So much for what I will or will not become.
Starlight...Divine.  Intertwined.  Intervene.
Switch it off and go outside.  You'll see what I mean.
